Selected for Inclusion in the DJSI World Index for Nine Straight Years

Nabtesco Corporation (headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Kazumasa Kimura) hereby announces that it was selected for inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) World Index for nine consecutive years from 2016, and in the DJSI Asia/Pacific Index for  twelve consecutive years.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) are a family of environmental, social and governance (ESG) investment indices developed jointly by the S&P Dow Jones Indices of the United States and RobecoSAM of Switzerland, a company specializing in sustainability investment-related research. Companies around the world are evaluated for their sustainability performance based on the numerical assessment of their economic, environmental and social sustainability, and those that are excellent performers are included in the DJSI.

For this fiscal year, about 3,500 leading companies from around the world were evaluated, and 321 (including 37 Japanese companies) were selected for inclusion in the DJSI World Index. Specifically, in the Machinery and Electrical Equipment sector, four Japanese companies, including Nabtesco, were selected.

The Nabtesco Group has set “Focus on solving ESG issues” as one of the management targets in its medium-term management plan for fiscal years 2022 through 2024, and is working to resolve various environmental and social issues. Nabtesco will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through the implementation of our corporate philosophy.
