Nabtesco’s brake systems are used in the trucks and buses essential for distribution services and public transportation.
Recently, it has become more important to develop technologies for these commercial vehicles to make them friendlier to urban and natural environments alike, in addition to ensuring their safety.

By applying the expertise accumulated as a leading manufacturer of brake systems for commercial vehicles in Japan and capitalizing on its existing manufacturing technologies, Nabtesco has been developing air brakes that deliver high safety and environmental friendliness for trucks and buses as well as electric compressors for electric buses. Through these products, we are contributing to make our motorized society safer and more comfortable.
In the domestic market, based on business with major truck and bus manufacturers, we have a roughly 70% share (Nabtesco’s estimate) of the market for air dryers and about a 75% share (Nabtesco’s estimate) for wedge brake chambers.

Our air brake products help increase the fuel efficiency of vehicles, which in turn contributes to reduce their environmental impact.
We also contribute to the safety of passengers and drivers of commercial vehicles by providing technology that helps increase the safety and reliability of the vehicles’ air control systems.
In response to the trend toward electrification of personal and commercial vehicles, we provide electric compressors for electric buses, which is contributing to decarbonize our society.
