In the civil aviation sector around the world and in the domestic defense industry, Nabtesco deals in highly reliable, advanced products and systems.

In the defense aircraft market, since its involvement in the domestic production of the F-86/T-33 under a licensing agreement, Nabtesco has been engaged in the development through to the manufacturing and repair of hydraulic equipment, engine accessory/fuel systems, flight control systems and power systems for a number of Japanese Defense Agency programs and has earned a high reputation in the industry as one of the most experienced equipment manufacturers.

In the civil aviation sector, Nabtesco supplies flight control systems and other equipment and also after-sales services to the Boeing Company (US), Cessna Aircraft Company (US), Bombardier Inc. (Canada), and Embraer (Brazil). For the Boeing 777 in particular, Nabtesco has been winning a number of contracts, including a blanket order for FlyByWire (FBW) flight control actuation systems. Through the superior technologies and high-quality services that it has developed and accumulated over many years, Nabtesco has been meeting customer needs as one of the leading suppliers in the aircraft manufacturing industry, both at home and abroad.

For hydraulic excavators that play an essential role in construction work, Nabtesco primarily supplies hydraulic traveling motors, a key component for driving hydraulic excavators, and maintains a large market share backed up by the marketfs high rating and high level of reliance on its products. The products configured with a reduction gear, a hydraulic motor, valves and a brake integrated in a compact design are very popular among users in Japan and abroad. Nabtesco aggressively promotes research and development on fine control through combined electronics and hydraulics to offer construction equipment that even inexperienced operators can use to perform advanced operations.

In addition, Nabtesco is also expanding its business lines to the fields of energy-efficiency and environment-friendly products as is demonstrated by new business involving the application of hydraulic equipment technology in which Nabtesco has succeeded in mass production of the yaw drives for 1MW class wind turbines.

Aileron PCU for the B777

This equipment is intended for the control of the aileron. It is mounted on the trailing edge of an aircraft main wing and provides directional control of the roll of the aircraft. Typically the aileron is steered by rotating the control wheel (steering wheel) on the top of the control stick in the right and left direction.

Elevator PCU for the B777

This equipment is intended for the control of the elevator. It is mounted on the trailing edge of the longitudinal stabilizing surface or horizontal tail plane of an aircraft and is used to obtain longitudinal or pitch-control moments. Typically the elevator is steered by moving the control stick in the forward and back direction.

High-Voltage DC Distribution Rack & Panel for the B787

In response to the expanding need for power for aircraft use, this device supplies }270 voltage direct current (DC) power through a liquid-cooling system built into the rack. A large-capacity motor controller and an ATRU, previously installed separately, are now installed into the rack, enabling a reduction in aircraft weight due to reduced electrical wiring, in turn facilitating aircraft maintenance work.

Power Control Company Inquiry
GM Series

The GM series is used for hydraulic motors for the traveling movement of hydraulic excavators, hydraulic motors for traveling in crawlers and the wheels of crawler drills, crawler cranes and tower wagons, as well as winch driving motors for vessels and fishing

CH Series

The CH series is used for hydraulic winch motors for truck cranes and crawler cranes, and also for hydraulic winch motors for sub-winches for forestry.

CS Series

The CS series is used for hydraulic motors for the swinging movement of truck cranes and also for feed motors for crawler drills and asphalt finishers.

Control Valve for Mini Excavator

The control valves which change the flow of oil, play a major role in the actions of oil-hydraulic excavators, including its traveling and control of the arms. This product is a sectional type multi control valve developed specially for mini excavators, and it is guaranteed to answer various needs including action control. Compact, multi-functional and with a wide range of a lineup, these control valves boastfully account for its domestic share of over 50%.

Drive Unit for Wind Turbines

The drive unit for wind turbines consists of a "yaw drive (yaw gear)" to change the direction of the wind generator following the direction of the wind and a "pitch drive" to control the inclination of the blades of the wind generator in response to the velocity of the wind. Nabtesco's drive units for wind turbines are based on advanced hydraulic equipment technology and they have been favorably received in the market for their higher durability, reduced weight, compactness and other features.
