The term “motion control” refers to the application of control technology to moving objects, which serves to support various aspects of people’s daily lives. Nabtesco has used motion control technology as the core of its manufacturing activities in a wide range of business areas―from transportation-related fields such as railroad vehicles, aircraft, marine vessels and automobiles, to industrial and livelihood-related fields such as industrial robots and automatic doors.

Nabtesco commands high shares of not only Japanese markets, but also overseas markets, for products such as precision reduction gears used in industrial robots. It is through the supply of such high-reliability products that we are able to contribute to the realization of a society in which people can feel safety, a sense of security and comfort.

Following the October 2004 integration of its two predecessor companies, Nabtesco is looking toward even further growth, and is now in the process of striving toward realizing newly set goals. This concept is embodied in the slogan proclaiming it to be a “Global company group growing with society,” a long-term vision we want to see realized in 10 years, and also in the sub-theme of “Challenge, Creation and Progress to the higher stage,” the aim of which is to realize our future corporate image. In addition, we have presented the “Five Promises” to stakeholders both inside and outside the group.

Based on these slogans, which reflect our corporate philosophy, we will promote the development of value-added products, corporate reform for higher productivity, and the development of human resources, and all group companies will be united in strengthening corporate standings that would become the foundation for realizing our Long-Term Vision
